ZIA TINA IS NOW OPEN
ZIA TINA EATERY TO BRING THE HEART OF PUGLIA TO SEMINYAK
Chef Restaurateur Maurizio Bombini’s third concept once again brings the spirit of Puglia to Bali, his home region where his roots run deep, with rustic Southern Italian charm, laughter-filled tables, and unapologetically good food.
Seminyak, Bali
Bali’s dining scene is about to get a whole lot louder, warmer, and more delicious with the opening of Zia Tina, the third culinary concept from celebrated chef restaurateur Maurizio Bombini. Inspired by the soulful flavors and free-spirited culture of his native Puglia, Zia Tina is more than a restaurant. It’s a place where everyone feels like family, even if you’ve just walked in the door.
Named after the kind of Italian auntie everyone wishes they had, loud, generous, full of love, and always ready to feed you, Zia Tina celebrates the joy of rustic Italian dining with a fun twist. Think handmade pastas, thin crust pizzas, grilled meats, and produce-driven plates that feel both nostalgic and exciting. No white tablecloths here, just good food, good company, and maybe a little too much vino. Just how Zia Tina would like it.
I wanted to create something that felt like home,” says Chef Maurizio. “A place that reminds you of those long family meals back in Italy, where time slows down and the table becomes the heart of everything. I grew up with an aunt who brought us all together. She would cook all day, from the bread to the dessert, just to see everyone smiling around the table. It wasn’t about perfection, it was about love and sharing life moments, and that’s exactly what I wanted to bring to Zia Tina.
The menu leans heavily into Puglian traditions, using handmade techniques and fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from both Bali and Italy. Guests can expect hearty plates of orecchiette, fire-kissed vegetables, slow-cooked ragù, and indulgent desserts, alongside classic aperitivi and wines that invite long conversations and late-night storytelling.
Zia Tina’s interiors are just as soulful as the menu, a breezy, sun-soaked space with whitewashed walls, natural textures, and vintage accents that feel like they’ve been lived in for years. The vibe is playful, welcoming, and deeply familiar.
With Zia Tina, Chef Bombini continues his legacy of heartfelt, ingredient-driven dining. Following the success of his previous ventures, including MAURI and BONITO, this third concept is a personal tribute not just to the food of his homeland, but to the spirit of community, joy, and generosity that defines it.
Zia Tina is now open in Seminyak, Bali. Come hungry. Come as you are. And don’t be surprised if someone pinches your cheek.
